Four Seasons Shop for Schools FULL in record time

A Mansfield Shopping Centre has announced its annual Shop for Schools initiative is now full, after local schools flooded the centre with applications.

The Chad sponsored Shop for Schools campaign, which launches at Four Seasons Shopping Centre on Saturday, 18 March, is completely full after 30 Mansfield schools raced to sign up in less than two days, securing a slot to be in with a chance of winning up to £3,000 for educational resources.

Rebekah O’Neill, Four Seasons Shopping Centre Manager, said the month-long campaign is set to be bigger than ever. “2016 saw huge success for our Shop for Schools initiative and we were absolutely delighted to reward £3,000 to Leas Park Junior School, who treated the whole school to a day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Plus, runner-up Wynndale Primary School purchased a brand new climbing frame for its playing field.”

For 2017, Four Seasons will see 22 schools returning and welcome 8 new additions to the scheme next month. “We can’t quite believe the outstanding response we have had for this year’s Shop for Schools,” Rebekah said. “All the schools got in touch to join the annual campaign in record time, so we are expecting it to be an even bigger success than last year.”

Between Saturday, 18 March and Tuesday, 18 April, shoppers will receive a point for every pound spent at Four Seasons, which they then post in their chosen school’s special voting box near the customer services desk. At the end of The Chad sponsored campaign, the school with the most points will win the first prize of £3,000 to invest in anything from books, teacher training and sports equipment, whilst the runner-up will receive £1,000. Plus, all schools will receive a ‘Multi Insect Tower’ to display in their outdoor areas.

“After the launch, we will be giving shoppers extra opportunities to gain even more points for the local schools,” Rebekah said. “Visitors to the Buzzy B Club on Wednesday, 5 and Wednesday, 12 April will be able to give an extra 10 points to their chosen school. Plus, on Sunday’s and Bank Holidays triple points will be available to donate along with extra bonus points vouchers printed in The Chad.

“We are really looking forward to the launch of our Shop for Schools initiative on the 18, March and we can’t wait to announce our winners later in the year.”
